Abuse Against Children
We work with families and schools to prevent abuse and protect those at risk.
We are a nonprofit organisation based in Kenya and dedicated to keeping vulnerable children in school and supporting them to
learn, grow and thrive.
We work to ensure that poverty, hunger, disability, displacement, stigma, violence or family
hardship does not decide whether a child receives an education.
We are financed through the generosity of individual donors, child sponsors, corporate partners, foundations, faith-based organisations, community groups and in-kind supporters.
These contributions fund practical programmes that keep vulnerable children in school, including school fees, learning materials, meals, uniforms, transport, menstrual health support, mentorship, child protection and community resilience initiatives.
We are organised through a Board of Directors that provides governance and strategic oversight, a management team led by the Chief Executive Officer that directs day-to-day operations, and programme teams that deliver support directly to children, families, schools and communities.
Together, these structures ensure that resources are used responsibly, decisions remain accountable and programmes continue to keep vulnerable children in school and supported to complete their education.
The strength of Dream Alive and Care Organization comes from the people who carry its mission every day.
Our team brings together educators, community workers, child-protection practitioners, counsellors, fundraisers, finance and administration professionals, monitors and volunteers who share one commitment: keeping vulnerable children in school and supporting them to learn, grow and thrive.
Meet the team
We keep vulnerable children in school by providing sponsorship, school fees, uniforms, books, meals, transport and other essential learning support.
We protect children’s wellbeing through sanitation and menstrual health support, mentorship, mental health education and child protection services.
We strengthen families, schools and communities to respond to poverty, displacement, drought and other barriers that interrupt children’s education.
Supportive relationships, life skills and psychosocial support that help children build confidence and cope with hardship.
Raising awareness and pushing for policies, financing and services that protect children’s right to education.
Safe water, sanitation, menstrual products and education that allow girls to manage their periods with dignity and remain in school.
We work with families and schools to prevent abuse and protect those at risk.
We run campaigns to make children's issues visible to those in power and understood in local communities.
We ensure children know their rights and are supported to voice their opinions on decisions that affect them.
